In the world of sneakers, few names resonate as strongly as "Air Jordan." Michael Jordan's iconic line of footwear has been a staple in sneaker culture for decades, and it continues to push the boundaries of design and innovation. Now, the brand is back with a sweet new flavor that's sure to make sneakerheads everywhere salivate: the Air Jordan 11 Neapolitan.
Design:
Since 2018, Jordan Brand has been creating new hues of this classic basketball sneaker for its female customers around the holidays. Because of its attraction to all Jordan fans, 2023's offering will face even more competition. This Air Jordan 11 edition, known as the "Neapolitan," is a blend of strawberry pink, chocolate brown, and vanilla sail. The distinctive tie bar on the tongue, exposed carbon fiber plate, opaque outsole, and glossy patent leather mudguard are all still there in Tinker Hatfield's classic Air Jordan 11 design.
The 2022 release of "Neapolitan" on the redesigned Air Max 90 Futura gave rise to speculation that the much-discussed Air Jordan 11 "Neapolitan" might have a same brown color scheme. But when the shoe is broken down on foot, a strawberry-colored transparent outsole supports a "DMP"-esque finish. The patent leather mudguard is lathered in black, with contrasting black logo pieces joining a white base coating on the top.
Release Date:
The release date for the Neapolitan Air Jordan 11 is set to be on November 11, 2023. Preliminary plans, however, indicate that the women's sizes will go on sale on this day as well for $225 through Nike and a few other stores.
