For sneakerheads and basketball enthusiasts alike, the Air Jordan 1 has always held a special place in their hearts. Since its debut in 1985, this iconic silhouette has undergone numerous transformations, collaborations, and innovations. The Air Jordan 1 High “Royal Reimagined” is the latest exciting addition to the Air Jordan family, celebrating the timeless appeal of the OG "Royal" colorway while infusing it with a fresh perspective. In this blog, we'll delve into what makes the Air Jordan 1 Royal Reimagined a must-have for sneaker enthusiasts and explore its unique design elements.
Design:
A growing collection of "Reimagined" icons has emerged from what started out as the "Lost & Found." Also, the Jumpman is returning to the Air Jordan 1—more especially, the original "Royal" colorway—after experimenting with the Air Jordan 3 "White Cement."
The AJ1 Royal Reimagined initially came to our attention around the end of 2022, when rumors circulated that it would be released somewhere around the holidays in 2023. Furthermore, even though the name "Reimagined" would normally make us assume that aged, yellowed midsoles and cracked leathers would be used, we now know that the collection is far less predictable because both the previously stated pair and the Air Jordan 4 "Bred Reimagined" have taken completely different creative tacks.
The AJ1 Royal Reimagined remains largely true to the original colorway despite its modifications. For example, its color blocking is nearly exactly the original, with black and royal blue alternating across the top in exactly the same way. The construction is the primary difference, as the regular silhouette's leather upper is swapped out for one that is nearly completely made of suede.
