Tinker Hatfield was the designer of the Air Jordan 6, which debuted in 1991. Originally, five colorways were put out. Characteristic features include the heel tab that calls to mind a spoiler and the Huarache-like inner sleeve crafted out of neoprene. In February 2023, the AJ6 Retro "Cool Grey" colorway was released.

This model has a white leather upper with a grey tongue tag and nubuck underlays. The windowed tongue, lace locks, and heel tab are a different shade of grey. The polyurethane midsole is white and grey, while the translucent rubber outsole comes in an icy blue. Of course, there's Jumpman branding on the tongue tag and heel.
