A significant portion of the Jordan Brand's fan base comes from Greater China. In recognition of this, there have been limited drops and even player exclusives for the region. One example released in 2020 is the Air Jordan 7 Retro "Greater China."
On the sneaker's lateral side, a subtle dragon motif is laid over a black and white leather base. Its medial side features colorful clouds in a style inspired by traditional Chinese artwork.
Pops of red are all over the shoe, like the Chinese characters on its tongue. Chinese characters are also present on the heel. The midsole and Jumpman logo are accented in gold, while the partially jade outsole glows in the dark.
