The Air Jordan 7 was designed by Tinker Hatfield. It came out in 1992 with five colorways and notably lacks a visible Air window, plus exterior Nike branding. 

The Air Jordan 7 Retro SE "Afrobeats" was put out in October 2022. The colorway took inspiration from West African music. It boasts a tan upper formed out of leather and embossed on the forefoot, as well as the heel. The tongue is covered in a geometric print with purple and yellow Air Jordan branding. In addition, this is echoed by the black polyurethane midsole that features purple and yellow accents.
