Yet another Air Jordan designed by Tinker Hatfield, the AJ9 was actually conceptualized when Michael Jordan was playing minor league baseball. A striking new colorway for this silhouette called "Chile Red" was released in May 2022.
Distinctive quilted and stitched panels make up the upper of this shoe, while the mudguard, heel, and collar are made with slick patent leather. Its black lace hooks, tongue tag, pull loop, and outsole contrast against the mostly ruby-red sneaker.
Completing the shoe are details including the 'Air Jordan' on its tongue tag, '23' on its heel, and Jumpman logos on its heel and outsole. This iteration is certainly a welcome upgrade to the original.
