The 2022 version of the Air Jordan 3 "Fire Red" has a white leather upper with dark grey elephant-print overlays at the forefoot and heel, reintroducing the Tinker Hatfield-designed original colorway of the first Air Jordan model. It was initially released in 1988. The polyurethane midsole, which also has an Air-sole unit hidden in the heel, the molded eyelets, the perforated leather collar, and the leather top all have contrasting red accents. In complementary hues of Fire Red, the Jumpman logo is stitched on the tongue, and "Nike Air" is imprinted on the heel.
